Switch to Dynamic Communication Now!

Switch to Dynamic Communication now!  You and your team may be using static communication and that’s tremendously risky.  In our Business Consulting practice we find that a lot of organizations and teams become disconnected or miss important information.  Most of the time, this occurs because companies use a lot of different communication methods. Many of witch are static.

Static Vs Dynamic Communication

Static Communication is communication that is locked and can’t be updated as the business changes.  For example a printout or an email are examples of static communication.

Dynamic Communication is a communication method that can be updated on the fly.  It changes as the business evolves.  This method ensures that the end user always has access to the latest data. For example, a website that shows goals and performance to them, or an internally hosted SharePoint or google doc that is updated with the latest promotion information are examples of dynamic communication.

Risks of Static Communication

Static communication is risky.  How often have you referred to the wrong version of a document or email?  We’ve all one it.  It’s easy to do.  Now, imagine that happening dozens or hundreds of time a year, month or day in your team. It’s scary to think about how often people may be referring to out of date information.  Thinking they’ve already hit a goal and they slow their sales funnel, or giving a customer information about a promotion that doesn’t exist anymore.

Benefits of Dynamic Communication

Dynamic communication is much less risky.  When you want to know a stock price you don’t check the newspaper anymore do you?  No you use an app or a google search to get up to the second pricing. You choose this method because you want to see what the answer is now, not what it might be now or what it used to be before.  If you have an employee handbook, don’t print it out and hand it to your teams, instead post it on SharePoint, or Google Docs or another platform where they have to read the current version every time they need it.  The same thing for any other information for your organization.

Moving from static to dynamic communication can seem daunting.  What do you think about that?  Tell us below.
