Forget It. It Doesn't Matter

Forget it.  It just doesn’t matter.  Stop focusing on that thing you think is keeping you from what you want.  It’s not.  Stop obsessing over that problem that just isn’t as big a deal as you think it is.  We’re all guilty of it and we need to stop.  Let’s do it together.

Too often we get hung up stressing on things that just don’t matter.  Things that we think matter so much but just don’t.

  • What will my coworker think if I tell them their projects off track?
  • How will I pay the bills if I start my own businesses?
  • Does my boss appreciate my work?

Stop worrying about those things.  Focus on playing your game the way you want to.  When you’re focused on perceived problems instead of where you’re going, you accidentally erode your own confidence.  Everyone around you can see it, hear it and feel it.  The truth is those things aren’t that big of a deal.

What will your coworker think if you tell them their project's off track?  They’ll think it’s off track.  Give them advice on how to straighten it out.

How will you pay the bills if you start your own businesses?  With the income from your businesses. Nothing makes you work harder than having to.  Don’t' be afraid to dive in and go hard at what matters.

Does your boss appreciate your work?  Yes.  They hired you and have kept you around.  Stop worry about if they appreciate your work.  Go out every day confidently and do your best work with confidence.  Your boss should be worried how they’re going to keep you happy and on the team.  There are plenty of jobs and opportunities you can go to and they know.

Here’s a simple test you can take to determine if you should be worried about something:

  • Is someone dying?
  • Is someone pregnant?
  • Are you going to jail?

If you answered no to all of these, then it’s not a big deal.  Don’t worry about it for another second.  Start focusing on the future.  Those “problems” will fade away and become speed bumps you passed right over on the road to success.
